Only just graduating from Unitec last year, with an arts degree in one hand and in the other a 1st runner up of the prestigious Wallace Art Award; this talented up-and-coming young Auckland artist is no doubt one to watch.
He had his first big collaborative show in November last year with another young artist called Tim Webber which was a great success! Since then he has joined up with Tim, Bobby Hung and Askew in a working studio, their group named Urban Development. This is so exciting! Artists working together always gives such a buzz of creativity and it seems as though the boys have really enjoyed it. They did an amazing huge mural together in Auckland and have big plans for the future. On the 2nd of September Matt is having his first proper solo show, in preparation towards his travels later this year. Please go support him and check out his incredible artwork!
